I have never had a fancy resume before today.

I finished my rough draft of my resume today. Took me about 30 mins. It was a really, really rough draft. My Career Services Councilor sent me a template to use. I just filled in the information and sent it back to her. Since when did resumes get all fancy with borders, fonts, and colors? This one had maroon lines and the hunter green logo of Stanbridge College. She sent me 2 templates to choose from, and I chose the fancier looking one. It just looked more professional than the other one, IMO. She also sent over matching over letters, and reference sheets. I just put the basic information on the resume for the time being. I need to schedule an appointment with her to write down job descriptions, type of jobs performed, and skills the job requires. They want them sounding fancy. Instead of Swim Instructor, Aquatic Educator. You get my point. More on  my fancy resume later!
